CVS has a program to get you discounts and even free items every week.
Here’s how their program works. First, you need an Extra Care Card, the CVS loyalty card, in order to do these deals. This is the most important part of the plan. You can sign up online and get the app. The store circulars can be on the app, too, or find you can find CVS circulars every week in the Sunday paper. These circulars are packed with Extra Care Buck (ECB) savings. Scour them for things that are free or close to free with ECB deals. There’s always something you can get for a little cash. Check for coupons on the items you want to buy (online or in newspapers) and check the CVS app for even more savings.
Come up with a shopping plan. On paper, write down what you want to buy, what coupons you have, what your Out Of Pocket (OOP) will be and what ECB you get in return to use on your next order (aka. rolling). Most stores and cashiers are gracious and let you do several transactions at one time. I prefer to get back in line and not disrupt the shopping experience for those behind me.
Don’t forget to stop at the red coupon kiosk in the front of the store before starting any shopping. You never know what you can get. Sometimes this changes the deals I have planned but sometimes not.
